Description of the house

This detached casita/studio with private terrace and garden is part of Cortijo Gruta Negra set in the country south of Mojácar. The location is truly unique: in the midst of unspoilt nature in the Sierra de Cabrera and only 1 km from the quiet beach of Playa Macenas. The casita is set on a lower terrace below the Cortijo and has a private garden with sea view. The interior has been furnished in a simple but creative way by the owners Ivan and Kika, who could also organise painting and flamenco classes on request. The joint swimming pool and surrounding sun terraces are available to guests of both Casita Piscina and Casita La Era on the same estate, where the owners also have their accommodation. At the swimming pool you’ll further find a roof terrace from where you can enjoy the splendid starry sky at night.

Surroundings of Casita Jardín

The Moorish town of Mojácar is situated on a mountain top and only 15 min by car (8.5 km) from the Cortijo. The nearest and still peaceful beach is Playa Macenas at 1 km distance, a 15 minute walk. Playa Mojácar with its cabanas is at a distance of 2 km. Directly from the Cortijo there are wonderful hiking trails into the Sierra the Cabrera. It’s a 5 minute drive to the golf club Playa Macenas Golf. Cabo de Gata Nature Park is at 20 km from the cortijo.

Floor plan

A staircase leads down to the casita/studio. All rooms are on one floor: living room including a recess with a double bed; open kitchen; bathroom with shower, washbasin, toilet; washing machine for communal use in a separate room by the swimming pool.
